     • To date, Sarah Geronimo's "Ikaw" and Sandwich's "Betamax" were the highest charting singles of any Filipino artists. The singles peaked at No. 2

     • David Cook scored a Hot 100 entry while American Idol was still on going, His rendition of Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby" debuted on chart date May 2, 2008, while the competion was still not finished and was on their top 5 week. The song eventually peaked at No. 1.

     • Rihanna has the most number of simultaneous Hot 100 entry. On chart date October 18, 2008 she shattered the previous record of four simultaneous entry by Sean Kingston and Ne-Yo, after two of her songs debuted that week. The songs were leaded by an all star charity single "Just Stand Up" at No. 6.

    • Akon, Lil' Wayne, Sam Milby, Will.i.am, Rihanna and David Archuleta hold the record for the most number of simultaneous debuts on the Hot 100. All five artists managed to have two songs to debut on a same week.

     • David Archuleta's "Crush" holds the record for the longest stay inside the top ten.
