Ne-Yo
It’s hard to gratify people with ballads, but Ne-Yo is a big exception for this. After taking over the charts with foot-stomping “Closer” and “Miss Independent”, Ne-Yo changes pace with a crooner-song “Mad,” which touches the heart with its lyrics including the chorus: “I don't want to go to bed, mad at you, and I don't want you to go to bed, mad at me.” Though “Lie to Me” seems to be the best ballad from “Year of the Gentleman”, Ne-Yo can deliver another hit.
