Ne-Yo

Lady Gaga

January 31, 2009

Ne-Yo’s “Mad” is No. 1 for four weeks and still ahead against three other strong contenders. 'Mad' is now one of the five songs which are runner-ups for the longest-stay at No. 1.

Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” eclipses Britney Spears’ “Circus” this week. ‘Ladies’ currently sits at No. 2 and is now Beyonce’s second highest peaking single. Spears’ “Circus” is down 2-3. Meanwhile, David Archuleta’s “A Little too Not Over You” rises 5-4.

Paramore’s “Decode” declines 3-5 as The Fray’s “You Found Me” keeps rising 9-6. Shontelle holds at No. 7 with “T-Shirt”, while Pink is back in the top ten with “Sober” exploding from No. 17 to No. 8.

Mariah Carey’s “I Stay in Love” sinks 6-9, as Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” feat Colby O’ Donis vaults 19-10. This is Gaga and O’ Donis’ first appearances in the top ten, and Gaga gives an idea that it won’t take her a ong time score her second top ten hit as her follow-up hit “Poker Face” currently sits just two places behind ‘Dance.’ ‘Poker’ is this week’s top gainer.

The top debut this week belongs to Rachelle Ann Go’s “This Time I’ll Be Sweeter” opening at No. 51. New entries this week include Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You,” opening at No. 70. This is the first Hot 100 entry of the first American Idol champ.

Meanhwile, Rihanna's "Take a Bow" is now tied-up with Colbie Caillat's "Realize" for the most weeks inside the Hot 100. The former No.1 and the 2008 number-one song is now on its 42nd week at the chart.
