Coldplay Fends Off Rihanna Atop Philippines Hot 100!

Coldplay begins a fourth week at No. 1 on the Philippines Hot 100 with “Viva La Vida,” but barely fended off Rihanna’s “Disturbia,” which rises to No. 2.

Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” slips from No. 2 to No. 3, while Sarah Geronimo’s “A Very Special Love” bounces back to No. 4. Chris Brown scores fourth top five hit, the most from any artist. “Superhuman”, a song which also features Keri Hilson, ascends 8 – 5.

Pussycat Dolls’ “When I Grow Up” peaks at No. 6, while Jordin Sparks’ “One Step at a Time” and The Ting Tings “That’s Not My Name” drop to No. 7 and No. 8 respectively.

Miley Cyrus scores her first top ten hit with “7 Things.” The carrier single from Cyrus’ album Breakout moves from No. 11 to No. 9. Parokya ni Edgar’s “Akala” completes the top ten.

Though it fails to enter the top ten this week, David Archuleta’s debut single “Crush” is this week’s top gainer and moves from No. 25 to No. 11.

Journey’s “After All These Years” is the top debut this week. The single opens at No. 69. Also new this week at No. 76 is New Kids on the Block’s “Single”, a song which also features Ne-Yo, giving Ne-Yo his sixth Hot 100 entry.
