'Boy' Topples "Womanizer" on Phil Hot 100

Beyonce starts its first week atop Philippines Hot 100 with “If I Were a Boy.” Beyonce eclipses Britney Spears this week merely because Beyonce’s album was out Tuesday. Spear’s “Womanizer” drops to No. 2 after a week atop the Hot 100. On the other hand, it’s not only a Beyonce versus Britney battle as Paramore’s “Decode” rises 7-3 and is the top gainer this week. “Decode,” the soundtrack from the movie Twilight, is expected to still put up a good fight next week for the pole spot against the two female singers as Twilight will be release in the Philippines next week.

Artists Stand Up to Cancer’s “Just Stand Up” and David Archuleta’s “Crush” are both non-movers at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively. The Script falls 3-6 with “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” while Bamboo inches down to No. 7 with “Kailan.”

Rico Blanco makes his first appearance in the top ten this week with “Your Universe.” ‘Universe’ ascends 12-8, besting Bugoy Drilon’s “Paano Na Kaya” for the highest peak of a single from any Filipino male artists.  Sponge Cola and Secondhand Serenade trade places with “Puso” at No. 9 and “Fall for You” at No. 10.

Nickelback’s lead single from their new album Dark Horse is this week’s top debut. “Gotta Be Somebody” opens at No. 37.
